Plotly Virtual Hangout
Bringing Passionate Python Developers Together
September (Sign up to be notified)
We’re proud and lucky to have a thriving community of enthusiastic Plotly users. Plotly Community Manager Adam Schroeder started a new initiative called “Plotly Hangouts”. The casual session will occur every month and feature an interactive interview with a Plotly Community member with live audience Q&A. (Think of it as a virtual fireside chat!)
The August session featured Martin Rapavý. Working at Raiffeisenbank, Martin serves as the Product Owner for their internal AI Portal. While he's in an AI role now, his love for making colleagues' lives easier began in his previous position as a Data Analyst. In this role, he discovered Python, Plotly, and his favorite tool, Dash. The simplicity of creating applications with Python and Dash instilled in him a passion not only for data apps but also for introducing non-technical people to the technical world. During the Hangout, Martin covered:
- How Plotly and Dash enabled the adoption of Python at Raiffeisenbank
- How the community represents one of the strongest value propositions for Plotly and Dash
- How a passion project led to a collaboration with a major Czech television network
