Turn Scientific Models into Decision-Making Tools with Dash
Inside OpenCell: Stanford STEER’s Dash-powered battery design platform
July 29, 11am EDT
In today's energy landscape, evaluating new technologies requires understanding complex engineering and economic tradeoffs. Decision-makers need ways to turn scientific analysis into actionable insights.
At Stanford University’s STEER program, Dr. Nicholas Siemons and his team conduct technoeconomic analysis to evaluate the economic viability of energy technologies. They developed a scientific model that combines battery cell engineering with energetic properties. Using Dash, they transformed their model into OpenCell, a platform for battery design, cost intelligence, and technology roadmapping.
In this webinar, Dr. Siemons will share how his team designed and built OpenCell with Dash. You'll see how Dash can help transform complex scientific models into interactive, multi-page applications that make advanced analysis easier to explore.
You'll learn how to:
- Turn complex datasets and physics models into tools that inform design decisions
- Extend insights beyond dashboards with automated reports and shareable outputs
- Deliver tailored experiences for end users with authentication and permission sets
- Move research prototypes into production-ready, scalable applications
This session will provide practical patterns for turning complex analysis into applications that help users make better decisions.
