Welcome to the Plotly Champions page, where we celebrate our community’s most passionate contributors who have gone above and beyond. Plotly Champions are individuals who, through their dedication and expertise, have made a significant impact on our projects, whether by developing open-source tools, offering guidance, or supporting fellow community members.
Start your journey in becoming a Plotly Champion by joining a circle of contributors who believe in shared knowledge, growth, and collaboration. Once significant contributions are made, Plotly will recognize contributors as Plotly Champions.

Andrei Gherghescu
Andrei Gherghescu is a software engineer with a background in Control Systems Engineering. He has worked in the aerospace, robotics, and automotive industries. Andrei currently works at TomTom in Amsterdam, Netherlands on positioning software for vehicles.
Contributions: Andrei is the maintainer of the Plotly.rs Rust crate.

Ann Marie Ward
Ann Marie Ward is an open-source advocate and contributor to the Dash ecosystem. She is a Co-author of The Book of Dash, and has contributed to both the code base and documentation for projects like Dash Pages, Dash Mantine Components, and Dash Bootstrap Components. A former CEO, Ann Marie blends technical expertise with a strong commitment to mentoring others through the Plotly Community Forum and other community-led projects.
Contributions: Ann Marie is the lead maintainer of the Dash Mantine Components library.

Austin Kiesewetter
Austin Kiesewetter started his career as an entrepreneur, manufacturing respirator masks and helping to launch four algorithmic trading-bot companies in 2017. He then worked as an administrator of a large non-profit focused on mental health during covid and is currently working within the Research and Innovation department as a Software Engineer at Martin Engineering. Austin is an active member of the Plotly Community Forums under the username pipinstallpython.
Contributions: Austin is the author of many open-source components for Plotly which can be found at Dash Pip Components.

Bryan Schroeder
Bryan Schroeder is a dedicated software developer with a passion for creating innovative solutions. With extensive experience in developing interactive dashboards and data visualization tools, Bryan has contributed significantly to various projects, including Dash AG Grid and Dashboard-Helper. Bryan is also an active member of the Plotly Community Forums under the username jinnyzor, where he shares his expertise and helps others. Bryan is committed to continuous learning and sharing knowledge with the community.
Contributions: Bryan is the creator of Dash AG Grid.

Carson Sievert
Carson is a senior software engineer at Posit working on projects that bridge R & Python with the web, such as Shiny and Plotly. Before Posit, Carson was a freelance consultant, assisting organizations like NOAA, Sandia National Labs, and Plotly. Carson did a PhD in statistics at Iowa State, where his work on the Plotly R package was recognized by the ASA with the 2017 Chambers Award.
Contributions: Carson maintains the R package Plotly and is author of plotly-r.com

Kevin Schneider
Kevin is a German researcher, programmer, and data scientist pursuing a PhD in Bioinformatics at RPTU Kaiserslautern. His research focuses on developing large-scale integrative data analysis methods and research data management systems to improve the quality of biological metadata. He is passionate about creating open-source software tools for scientists that teach and propagate functional programming principles.
Contributions: Kevin is the creator and maintainer of Plotly.NET.

Roberto Moura
Roberto is a programmer and musician based in London. He previously worked as a software engineer at Google, first with the Chrome for the iOS team in Paris and later with the Google Play team in London. Currently, Roberto works as a quantitative researcher at a hedge fund.
Contributions: Roberto is a maintainer of the Plotly Matlab repo.

Sébastien Didier
Sébastien Didier is a highly versatile engineer based in Paris, with a unique blend of expertise in mechanical, industrial, and civil engineering alongside advanced programming skills. He has worked in the nuclear and aeronautical industries, and is proficient in Python, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, and VB.NET/VBA. Sébastien thrives on complex coding challenges across diverse domains, from front-end and back-end development to DevOps and AI. A decade ago, he began leveraging Python and Dash/Plotly to build interactive dashboards for monitoring AI model training.
Contributions: Sébastien was actively involved in enhancing the documentation for Dash AG Grid.

Tom Begley
Tom is a software engineer, data scientist, and mathematician based on the south coast of the UK. He is currently a technical lead in the advanced analytics team at Cerberus Technology Solutions. Previously he worked as a machine learning engineer at Meta, and as a Data Scientist and Researcher at Faculty (a machine learning startup in London). He has many interests including, but not limited to, Bayesian statistics, card tricks, web development, Rubik‘s cubes, and programming in Python.
Contributions: Tom co-created and is the lead maintainer of dash-bootstrap-components, the most popular third-party component library for Dash.
