Introducing Developer Relations Videos in the Dash Docs
We're excited to announce a new addition to the Plotly documentation: Developer Relations (DevRel) videos, embedded directly into the docs pages you already use every day.
What is Developer Relations?
DevRel is the function within Plotly dedicated to supporting, educating, and engaging with the developers (you!) who build with our tools. The DevRel team creates content, resources, and experiences that make it easier to learn Plotly & Dash, troubleshoot issues, and get the most out of our libraries. This new video initiative is one of the ways the DevRel team is investing directly in the documentation experience.
What will the videos cover?
The goal is to give developers a second way to absorb the material; pairing the written reference with a spoken, example-driven explanation of the docs content. Each video is a technical walkthrough of the existing documentation. In each video, a member of the DevRel team will:
- Run the code examples shown on the doc page, live
- Walk through the output step by step
- Explain the "why" behind each parameter, option, and pattern
- Call out common gotchas or tips that aren't always obvious from reading code alone
Where will these videos live?
Every documentation page will have its corresponding video embedded at the very top of the page, right above the written content. This means:
- No separate video hub to search through. The video is right where you're already reading
- The video and the text stay in sync, since both cover the same examples
- You can choose to watch first, read first, or use both together depending on how you learn best

What's next
We'll be rolling out these videos across the docs incrementally, starting with our most-visited pages (link to pages). Keep an eye out for the video player at the top of your doc pages, and let us know what you think!
