Dash Enterprise 6.3.0
The Dash Enterprise 6.3.0 release focuses on three things: agent access, durable execution, and portability. Together, they make Dash Enterprise an even stronger choice for on-prem data app hosting and enterprise workloads in the AI era. Hereâs whatâs new.
Dash app MCP support
Any app that is deployed on Dash Enterprise can now be exposed as an MCP server. Turn it on in the app's settings and Claude and Claude Code are able to connect directly to that app. You don't need to build a separate service or make any code changes. MCP Access uses the existing permissions system already in place on the app. The authentication is routed through the same system that DE already uses. Whether you already have agentic workflows or are just getting started using LLMs, DE 6.3.0 and Dash are set up to handle your needs without refactors or reconfigurations.

Durable execution
In 6.2.0 we moved our backup and restore process to Temporal. This ensured that pod restarts, node failures, or any other interruptions to the backup or restore process could be recovered and continued rather than failing into a partial state. In 6.3.0, every app operation now works this way. Creating, transferring, and deleting apps now run as durable workflows on Temporal. The progress of each step is recorded so any interruption is treated as a pause rather than a failure. If something goes wrong, it will pick up where it left off. If a dependency becomes unavailable, retries will happen on a schedule rather than the system hammering the server or giving up.
This matters now more than ever. There's a deluge of data and apps being created, and it's no longer just humans accessing them, but agents as well. 6.3.0 ensures that your apps are deployed, ready, and accessible when you or your agent need them.
ARM64 support
Dash Enterprise 6.3.0 now runs on ARM64. All the system services and Dash applications can now run on either AMD64 or ARM64. If your infrastructure has standardized on ARM, you no longer need an exception to run Dash Enterprise. The build system has also been rebuilt and repackaged, with extended Python and pip version support, so that more of what your teams already write runs on Dash Enterprise without modification.
