Overview of Dash & Dash Apps
Dash apps give a point-&-click interface to models written in Python, R, and Julia - vastly expanding the notion of what's possible in a traditional "dashboard." With Dash apps, data scientists and engineers put complex Python analytics in the hands of business decision makers and operators.
When building Dash apps in a business setting, you'll need Dash Enterprise to deploy and scale them, plus integrate them with IT infrastructure such as authentication and VPC services. Watch this short video by Plotly's VP of Product to see how Dash Enterprise delivers faster and more impactful business outcomes on AI and data science initiatives.
Dash Enterprise converts Python scripts to production-grade apps for your business
Python has taken over the world, and Dash Enterprise is the vehicle for delivering Python analytics to business users.
In addition to disrupting traditional BI dashboards, Dash & Python power the analytic apps of tomorrow's industries: Autonomous vehicles, the energy transition, quantum computing, emerging therapeutics, and more.
Dash Enterprise Architecture
The incredible 21x cost savings of Dash Enterprise
Hiring full-stack software teams to build bespoke analytics stacks is 21x more expensive than building with Dash Enterprise.
Dash Open Source
Plotly stewards Python's leading data viz and UI libraries.
With Dash Open Source, Dash apps run on your local laptop or workstation, but cannot be easily accessed by others in your organization.
Scale up with Dash Enterprise when your Dash app is ready for department or company-wide consumption. Or, launch your initiative with Dash Enterprise from the start to unlock developer productivity gains and hands-on acceleration from Plotly's team.

Kubernetes platform for rapid Dash app deployment.
Dash Enterprise helps businesses operationalize data science, AI, and ML models. It’s everything you need to deliver your AI or ML initiative at scale.
Low-code Dash app development that supercharge developer productivity.
Data Science Workspaces
Create Dash apps and Jupyter notebooks in Dash Enterprise's code editor. Data Science Workspaces bring data science to orgs that can't have Python on PCs.
Save & share Dash app views as links or PDFs. Or, run a Python job through Dash and have Snapshot Engine email a report when the job is done.
Design like a pro without writing a line of CSS. Easily arrange, style, brand, and customize your Dash apps.
Deploy & manage Dash apps without needing IT or a DevOps team. App Manager gives you point & click control over all of aspects your Dash deployments.
Ensure high availability of Dash apps and scale horizontally with Dash Enterprise’s Kubernetes architecture. No IT or Helm required.
The Job Queue is the key to building scalable Dash apps. Move heavy computation from synchronous Dash callbacks to the Job Queue for asynchronous background processing.
Embed Dash in existing web apps or products like Salesforce reports. Dash app embedding is the fastest way to add AI to any product or platforms
Python has production-grade libraries to connect to any database, making it simple for Dash apps deployed to Dash Enterprise to read and write database data.
Control Dash app access in a few clicks. Dash Enterprise supports LDAP, AD, PKI, Okta, SAML, OAuth, SSO, and simple email authentication.
Dash Enterprise installs in less than 30 minutes on AWS, Azure, and GCP (either on a single Linux VM or the Kubernetes services of these cloud providers). For high security environments, Dash Enterprise can also install on-premises without connection to the public Internet.
Dash Enterprise is the only platform for building analytics apps on top of Databricks. Elevate Databricks workflows to business users through point-and-click Dash apps deployed on Dash Enterprise.
Dash Enterprise’s git deployment integrates with Continuous Integration for automated QA and pass/fail tests.

Machine Learning app.
This object-detection app provides useful visualizations about what's happening inside a complex video in real time. The data is generated using MobileNet v1 in Tensorflow, trained on the COCO dataset. The video is displayed using the community-maintained video component.
Oil & Gas dashboard.
This Dash app displays oil production in western New York. Filters at the top of the app update the graphs below. Selecting or hovering over data in one plot will update the other plots ('cross-filtering'). Dash apps are powered by Plotly.js, a fully featured charting library including maps like these, financial charts, scientific graphs, and more.
This app, created for non-compartmental pharmacokinetics, is typically used to analyze data from small animal studies during the lead optimization phase of drug discovery. These studies are used to help predict human dosing and plan safety studies.
These customized and interactive reports enable your end users to mine relevant insights by interacting with and exploring your data content.
Reports built with Dash, benefit from further out of the box interactive functionality, such as adding dropdown or a search box elements.
